Primarily responsible for supporting daily operations of the Picture Archive Communication System (PACS), Imaging dictation systems and Radiology Information System (Epic Radiant) at Harris County Hospital District. The successful candidate works closely with the HCHD Department of Radiology, HCHD IT, and affiliate institutions to ensure operation, support and maintenance of PACS, affiliated dictation systems and Epic Radiant systems. The role includes system administration, end‑user support and user training, and supports the design and implementation activities for the expansion and upgrade of the PACS and dictation systems.
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a healthcare related field. Advanced training in PACS administration or other IT certifications with experience in radiology departmental operations and workflow preferred.
Graduate of JRCERT Radiologic Technologist program.
Certification in PACS administration and/or Epic Radiant certification.
Five years of progressive IT/PACS experience with a minimum of two years working in the healthcare arena.
Previous experience in physician and/or staff training.
Computers, various radiology related software/hardware and general office equipment.
