Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Denials Analyst who will be responsible for reviewing incoming charges in the work queue, handling dummy code, prop 99, all CPT/modifiers, and extracting/notating codes. The role includes working with CPT codes for specialties such as GI and high dollar accounts for Hematology. The Denials Analyst will collaborate with the TCH coding team, managing tasks based on direction from supervisors who prioritize by high dollar, date, or service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and manage charges in the work queue based on specialties.
  • Apply dummy codes, prop 99, and all CPT/modifiers.
  • Collaborate with the TCH coding team.
  • Prioritize tasks based on supervisor instructions.
  • Extract and notate CPT codes from OP notes.
Qualifications
  • Must hold a CPC, RHIT, or AHIMA Certification.
  • 3-5 years of outpatient/pro-fee/PB/surgical coding experience, with specialty experience.
  • Proficiency in Epic software.
Skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a flexible schedule environment.
  • Competent with Epic software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding practices.
Additional Requirements
  • Position is remote, excluding candidates from Ohio, CA, Washington State, North Dakota, and NY.
  • Must provide own computer and have Teams/Samantic VIP access on phone.
  • Flexible working hours from 5am to 7pm, with core hours from 5am-2pm.
  • 30-minute lunch required after 6 consecutive hours worked.
