Ideal

Will have a Bachelor s of Science degree in Pharmacy or Pharm

D. and preferred 2 years of relevant Pharmacy practice experience.

The working hours are 9:00am – 5:00pm (hours may vary based on current need).

Job specific competencies

Daily Operations
  • Accurately process and review all medication orders and requests, verifying clinical appropriateness.
  • Ensure all medications meet the highest standards for quality, preparation, labeling, and final dosage form.
  • Assess appropriateness of ordered medications considering disease state, body surface area (BSA), age, height, weight, and renal function.
  • Utilize pharmacy and clinical information systems to support order entry, verification, distribution, and checking functions.
  • Support optimal patient care and customer service by completing all operational responsibilities, including working beyond scheduled shifts as needed.
  • Flex schedule across practice areas and shifts based on operational needs.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and safety regulations (USP 797, USP 800, NIOSH) for handling, preparing, and disposing of hazardous drugs.
  • Properly report and document chemotherapy spills.
Leadership
  • Oversee the production of all types of admixtures, verifying accuracy of procedures, labels, and doses prior to distribution.
  • Ensure admixtures meet the highest standards of quality and preparation.
  • Supervise immediate technical staff, including assignment completion, lunch break monitoring, and adherence to institutional policies and procedures.
  • Manage time effectively to maintain high productivity and workflow efficiency.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and collaboration with pharmacy team members and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor appropriate use of institutional and pharmacy resources.
  • Maintain a positive, constructive attitude and actively promote teamwork.
Technology & Professional Development
  • Demonstrate proficiency with institutional and pharmacy information systems; anticipate, identify, and resolve issues with appropriate follow up.
  • Pursue continuous learning and self development; actively seek feedback and apply learning to practice improvement.
