Position Details
Position Title: Clinical Pharmacist
Work Location: Remote - FL, TX, MO, MI, CA
Assignment Duration: 9 Months
Work Schedule: 8 hour shifts - Monday to Friday
Position SummaryThe main function of a pharmacist is to dispense prescription medications to patients and offer expertise in the safe use of prescriptions. They also may conduct health and wellness screenings, oversee the medications given to patients, and provide advice on healthy lifestyles.
Background & ContextThis need is to help with everyday pharmacist functions while SME prepare for upcoming computer system upgrade to Script Med Cloud. This pharmacist role will learn order verification functions, and overall prescription workflow processes along with counseling patients and discussing with providers about prescriptions and order clarifications.
Key Responsibilities- Dispense prescription medications to patients.
- Offer expertise in the safe use of prescriptions.
- Conduct health and wellness screenings.
- Oversee the medications given to patients.
- Provide advice on healthy lifestyles.
Education/Certification
Required:
bachelors of pharmacy or doctor of pharmacy
Preferred:
Licensure
Required:
Registered pharmacist (RPh)
Preferred:
Must haves: valid pharmacist licensure, active
Nice to haves: experience in a mail order pharmacy, experience with scriptmed enterprise
