The coordinator assists with grant proposals, progress reports, and submissions, collaborating closely with investigators, departmental leadership, and the Office of Sponsored Projects. They prepare internal reports, ensure staff training compliance, maintain confidential datasets, and provide administrative guidance. The position may also involve contract review and staff training development.
Key Accountabilities- Day‑to‑day project management: coordinate personnel, facilities, supplies, budgets and timelines.
- Prepare progress reports and grant proposals to private foundations and governmental agencies.
- Develop and adjust budgets, authorize expenditures and draft budget requests for leadership approval.
- Ensure staff receive required training and documentation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential data records.
- Prepare draft reports and communications for departmental leadership.
- Interact with state, federal and private agencies regarding proposals and funded projects.
- Provide administrative direction to department staff; review contracts and develop training as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Minimum ExperienceTwo (2) years of relevant experience, or equivalent education beyond the minimum education requirement.
Physical RequirementsExerts up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently, or a negligible amount constantly, to move objects.
