Medical Assistant​/Scribe

Overview

Medical Assistant / Scribe — We are seeking to hire a Medical Assistant with Scribe experience to join our nursing team. We are looking for a candidate who has at least 2 years experience in an OBGYN clinic as a Medical Assistant and has done a significant amount of documentation in E-Clinical.

• Prepares medical record documentation/charts for physician(s).
• Assist physician as needed with procedures and exams and document findings, assesment and plan of treatment.
• Assist with rooming the patients and make sure the exam rooms are well supplied and clean.
• Updates patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in the patient' chart.
• Review lab results and screening tests results.
• Complies medical facility policies, including those relating to HIPAA.
• Performs other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.

• Send prescriptions.

• Write orders for labs, and imaging as needed.
• Help with prior authorization requests.

• Medical Assisting certification.
• Bachelor’s degree with nursing career track preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy a plus.
• Skilled in operating various medical record software.
• A minimum of 60 WPM preferred.
