PositionSummary
As a Medical Billing and Collections Representative, you will manage delinquent medical accounts and ensure timely resolution. Your responsibilities include helping patients with payment arrangements, addressing account disputes, collaborating with insurance companies for re‑billing, and performing skip tracing to locate missing payments. A professional, respectful demeanor is essential when interacting with patients and colleagues.
Compensation- Hourly Rate: $16.00 per hour
- Bonus Potential:
Eligible for up to a $3,500 monthly bonus based on performance.
- Shift Options: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Manage and resolve overdue medical accounts.
- Assist patients with payment arrangements and disputes.
- Re‑bill insurance companies as needed.
- Maintain accurate account records.
- Collaborate with billing teams and insurance companies.
- Education:
High school diploma / GED - Experience:
1‑2 years in call‑center/collections operations in a healthcare field; working knowledge of insurance collections, including insurance verification and follow‑up to get claims paid.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet goals.
- Experience with medical billing software is a plus.
- Previous collections or customer service experience preferred.
- Ability to handle over 100 calls per day.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
