Position Overview:

Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator will support the management, operations, and implementation of Health Prevention and Coordinate Care (HPCC) Harris County division initiatives. In conjunction with HPCC leadership, the Program Coordinator ensures the efficient planning, execution, and maintenance of HPCC Harris County programing according to deadlines, budget, and organizational policies and procedures. Provides assistance/support for coordinating administrative activities related to assigned projects/programs;

event planning and implementation; managing the project/program logistics; coordinating meetings, educational activities, and other related events; developing and dissemination of program/project materials; communication for project/program; data collection, collating, and reporting; and the coordination of and/or development and maintenance of databases to support program/project activities.

Additionally, the Program coordinator may assist in conducting literature reviews to support project/program activities; and maintaining websites related to assigned project/program.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Support program planning and reporting while monitoring performance metrics to ensure alignment with HPCC organizational and strategic goals related to HCPH

* Responsible for monitoring and tracking usage and of services related to program assets, in addition to submitting and tracking programmatic related documents, such as contracts, agreements/MOUs, Commissioner Court documents

* Responsible for the coordination of program outreach efforts in alignment with the mission of HPCC programs

* Assists department with program financials, including, but not limited to, submitting requisitions, purchase orders, and supply/inventory orders

* Provide administrative oversight/facilitation to support emergency preparedness and response related activities

* Serve as backup to the HPCC Executive Assistant to the Director by providing administrative support, managing schedules, managing invoices/requisitions/ordering, coordinating meetings, and ensuring continuity of operations as needed.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

* Bachelors' degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university; and two (2) years of experience working in a non-profit, public health, business/healthcare administration or related field.

OR

* Associate's degree; and four (4) years of experience working in a non-profit, public health, business/healthcare administration or related field

* Experience with research and presentation development

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* Advanced in the use of a desktop/laptop, tablet and cellphone along with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Vision, Outlook)

* Knowledge of social determinants of health (e.g., education, employment, housing, social support) and their impact on individuals

* Ability to work with limited supervision, demonstrates a high-level of integrity and professionalism

* Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

* Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
