About the Opportunity

Our client, a top-tier and highly reputed children’s hospital in Houston, TX
, is seeking an experienced Resident Clinical Pharmacist to join their clinical pharmacy team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment while collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services in PICU, ICU, and/or Emergency Department settings
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to medication-related decision-making
  • Review, verify, and monitor medication therapy for safety, efficacy, and appropriateness
  • Provide pharmacokinetic dosing, therapeutic drug monitoring, and clinical consultations
  • Support pediatric medication management, including weight-based dosing and high-risk medications
  • Educate healthcare staff, patients, and caregivers on medication therapy as needed
  • Assist with policy development, quality improvement initiatives, and medication safety programs
  • Precept pharmacy residents and students as applicable
Required Qualifications
  • Pharm

    D from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
  • PGY-1 or PGY-2 residency completed
  • Minimum 2+ years of clinical pharmacy experience in an acute-care hospital setting
  • Hands-on experience in PICU, ICU, and/or Emergency Room environments
  • Experience with in a pediatric or children’s hospital strongly preferred
  • Active pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure in Texas
Preferred Qualifications
  • Board Certification (e.g., BCPPS, BCPS)
  • Prior experience in high-acuity pediatric care
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills
