Location: Onsite - Houston, TX
Starting Rate: $71.00/hour (based on experience)
Shift: 7-on / 7-off | 7:30 PM - 7:30 AM
Dean's Professional Services is actively seeking a Licensed Pharmacist to join inpatient pharmacy operations at a leading healthcare facility in Houston, Texas. This long-term, onsite opportunity offers a highly sought-after 7-on/7-off night schedule

The Pharmacist is responsible for promoting safe and effective pharmaceutical care by managing the medication-use process, preventing and resolving drug-related problems, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. All duties are performed in a patient-centered manner appropriate for populations ranging from neonatal to adult.
Key Responsibilities- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness based on diagnosis, weight/body surface area, allergies, and potential drug interactions.
- Accurately enter, verify, and process medication orders within the electronic pharmacy system.
- Ensure medications are correctly prepared, dispensed, and delivered within established time frames.
- Monitor and prevent medication errors, maintaining high standards for patient safety and quality assurance.
- Prepare and verify sterile compounded products using aseptic technique and infection control standards.
- Enforce aseptic technique and infection control practices among pharmacy staff and technicians.
- Maintain annual sterile compounding certification, achieving a minimum score of 90% on required skills and written assessments.
- Perform all pharmacist duties in accordance with hospital policy and state regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm
D) required. - Active Texas Pharmacist (RPH) license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital staff pharmacist experience preferred.
- Experience with sterile compounding and inpatient medication preparation strongly preferred.
- Completion of 20 hours of ACPE- or ASHP-accredited sterile compounding training preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, clinical judgment, and commitment to patient safety.
