About the Role:Reporting to the Outreach Cohort Supervisor, the Community Health Worker will play a key role in promoting Lead Poisoning Prevention and Environmental Public Health programs. This position blends active community engagement with in‑office coordination to support overall outreach objectives.
You will serve as a trusted liaison between the organization and the community—educating residents, connecting individuals to services, and building lasting partnerships.
What You’ll Do:- Conduct community outreach through canvassing, local business engagement, and event participation.
- Provide education and program information through phone outreach and in‑person engagement.
- Create and deliver presentations and workshops on public health topics.
- Initiate referrals while ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.
- Track, collect, and submit outreach data accurately and consistently.
- Recommend improvements to outreach strategies and assist with training updates.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
- Support emergency response initiatives and additional outreach efforts as needed.
- High school diploma required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Confidence presenting to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable with data tracking and reporting.
- A genuine passion for community engagement and public health.
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Some evenings required.
- Community events every other weekend required.
