Job Description
An employee in the Katy, TX area is looking to bring on a Pharmacist. The Pharmacist is responsible for supporting pharmacy management goals and ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications within a closed‑door pharmacy environment. This role provides both routine and emergency comprehensive drug screening, processing, and dispensing services across multiple drug distribution systems. A high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and sound judgment are required to ensure the correct medication reaches the customer in a timely and compliant manner while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety.
This position operates in a fast‑paced, closed‑door pharmacy alongside a collaborative team of approximately 20–30 pharmacy technicians daily. The Pharmacist plays a key role in overseeing workflow execution, supervising pharmacy production staff, and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including Board of Pharmacy, DEA, third‑party payer requirements, HIPAA, and hazardous waste disposal standards. Responsibilities include verifying the accuracy of medication orders, labels, and packaging;
preparing or supervising sterile IV compounds; managing controlled substance inventory; and ensuring daily workflow dashboards are cleared.
Schedule is as follows: 5 Days a week. 8 Hours a day shifts. Forty hours a week. Weekdays 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM (1 hour lunch). Every other weekend 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (30 minute lunch).

- 1-2 years of retail or LTC experience
- Registered TX Board of Pharmacy pharmacist with active, valid and clean license
- IV certification is required
