We are seeking a Level II (preferably)
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer specializing in OB/GYN to join our team! The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations focused on maternal-fetal medicine, providing critical imaging services to support obstetric and gynecological care. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques, combined with excellent patient care and communication skills. The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - OB/GYN will contribute to accurate diagnosis and treatment planning, ensuring a high standard of patient safety and comfort.
As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer on the team, you will be responsible for greeting patients and explaining the full procedure to them, answering questions they may have about what to expect, and performing routine screenings and ultrasounds. You will also use your best judgment to interpret results and accurately differentiate between normal and abnormal findings, consult with colleagues as needed, and deliver the results to the patient in a kind, informative way.
The ideal candidate has the necessary licensing, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and has excellent communication skills.
- Perform OB/GYN ultrasound examinations, including fetal assessments, anatomy scans, growth scans and gynecological imaging, (i.e. Fibroids,Pcos,Kidney,etc)
- Utilize sonography equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, ensuring proper documentation of findinggs
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret images and assist in diagnosis.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and cleaned according to safety standards.
- Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and OB/GYN practices through ongoing professional development.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Required)
- Proven experience as an Ultrasound Technician with specialization or significant exposure to OB/GYN or maternal-fetal medicine imaging.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to obstetrics and gynecology.
- Proficiency in sonography techniques, medical imaging software, and diagnostic radiology principles.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Prior experience working in a healthcare environment emphasizing patient care and safety is preferred.
