Overview

Pay starting at $77,096/yr up to $93,856/yr (depending on experience) for full-time rotating schedules. Paramedics can make between $105,248-$128,128/year (depending on experience) by working 72 hours/week. Schedule types available: 48 ON/96 OFF, 24 ON/48 OFF, or Kelly schedule. Schedules vary by location and are subject to change. City Ambulance Service is expanding with multiple station locations in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Austin, College Station, Odessa, Midland, San Angelo, Lubbock, Temple, Killeen, Round Rock, Beaumont, Port Arthur, Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Livingston, Corpus Christi, and more.

We are seeking experienced, dedicated and motivated Paramedics to join our team in Houston, Texas and surrounding areas. We aim to provide the advanced level of patient care our patients and partners expect from City Ambulance Service.

• Respond to calls for emergency and non-emergency transports.
• Assess a patient’s condition and determine a course of treatment per local protocol.
• Provide first-aid treatment and/or advanced level life support to patients.
• Clearly explain procedures to patients, give orders, and relay information to others.
• Transport patients safely in an ambulance.
• Transfer patients to the hospital or other healthcare facilities.
• Report observations and treatment to physicians or other healthcare facility staff.
• Document medical care given to patients promptly and effectively.
• Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment after use.
• Maintain and clean crew quarters, ambulance and station locations daily.

• Ability to sit, bend and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to waist level.
• Ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations.
• Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written English.
• Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations/job duties.
• Experience with MICU level transports including IV Pump / Ventilator / Cardiac Monitoring.
• State of Texas (or other compact state) Paramedic license REQUIRED.
• 2 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred.
