Lead Mammography Technologist
Location: Memorial Villages
Department: Radio - Mammography
Job Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $79,578 - $98,302
Responsibilities- Upon the order of a qualified physician, the Lead Mammography Technologist will utilize equipment that produces ionizing radiation to obtain diagnostic images according to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey‑Seybold Clinic.
- Operate and maintain equipment including mammography, DEXA studies, general radiographic studies, fluoroscopic studies, ASC procedures, and/or SCNB procedures with designated Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS system.
- Function as a team leader, focusing on team development and departmental success.
- May be assigned to other duties—technical or non‑technical—if training, experience, and credentials deem the individual capable.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
- Preferred:
Associate’s in Applied Science – Radiology Technology.
- Required:
Minimum 3 years in mammography; or 1 year in KSC mammography and 1 year in mammography quality control. - Preferred: PACS and RIS experience with X-ray, DEXA and SCNB.
- Required:
ARRT (R)(M) MRT‑General Certificate; BLS certification through the American Heart Association. - Preferred:
Additional QM registry.
- Required:
Experience using Microsoft applications. - Knowledge of mammography quality assurance measures and accreditation requirements.
- Required:
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. - Preferred:
Bilingual proficiency.
