OverviewThe US Oncology Network is looking for a Scheduler to join our team at Texas Oncology
. This full-time role will primarily support our Willowbrook location in Houston, TX. It is a level I, II, or Senior position based on candidate experience. The United States Oncology Network delivers high-quality, evidence-based care to patients close to home and is supported by McKesson Corporation.
Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) typically vests over three years and is tied to individual performance and operational success. Awards are discretionary and depend on position, performance, and potential for future growth. LTIP awards are subject to continued employment and governed by the LTIP terms.
What does the Scheduler do?Under direct supervision, the Scheduler is responsible for scheduling patient appointments and tests in an efficient and timely manner. Duties include answering incoming calls, directing callers to appropriate personnel, serving as a liaison between patients and medical staff, and possibly handling outside scheduling and surgical scheduling. The role supports adherence to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-3 years’ medical office experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
- Minimum three (3) years office experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
- Minimum five (5) years office experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding required.
- Uses technical and functional experience; quick learner; uses resources as appropriate.
- Demonstrates adaptability; handles challenges; adjusts to multiple demands and changes; stays resilient.
