Ultrasound Technologist - PRN (Job Overview)

Schedule: 8AM-4:30PM | As Needed

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage advanced ultrasound technology to analyze and interpret captured images.
  • Identify and document variations between healthy and abnormal areas, ensuring high-quality reporting for the physician.
  • Optimize and adjust equipment settings to produce the clearest diagnostic images possible.
  • Prepare and guide patients through procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding.
  • Maintain the highest standards of equipment and transducer functionality; promptly report any malfunctions.
  • Engage in regular quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate respect and uphold the dignity of patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ensure safe operation of all assigned equipment and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent in relevant field.
  • Completion of clinical and classroom program meeting American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) eligibility requirements.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers, maintained in good standing.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Fulfill continuing education requirements by the American Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in obstetric/fetal ultrasound.
  • Proficiency in operating within a team setting, demonstrating excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
