Medical Payment Poster**


We are seeking a Medical Payment Poster! In this role, you will be responsible for accurately posting payments, managing patient and insurance account inquiries, and ensuring financial transactions are processed efficiently and in compliance with medical billing standards. If you have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience in a medical office or billing environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately post payments from insurance companies and patients to the correct accounts
  • Reconcile explanation of benefits (EOBs) and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Respond to patient and insurance inquiries related to payments, account balances, and billing questions
  • Collaborate with billing and collections teams to ensure timely and accurate account management
  • Maintain detailed and organized payment records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Investigate and resolve denied or misapplied payments
  • Perform general administrative and data entry duties related to payment processing
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or certification in medical billing is a plus)
  • 1+ years of experience in medical billing, payment posting, or healthcare customer service
  • Familiarity with EOBs, insurance claim processing, and medical terminology
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with payment entries
  • Proficient in typing, data entry, and using healthcare billing software (e.g., Epic, Kareo, eClinical

    Works, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
