General
Role Description
The Medical Assistant II provides supportive patient care functions for an assigned clinical area, under the supervision of a Physician, Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational and professional standards. Some duties may be delegated to the MA by the physician or RN. This position requires additional duties which include administration of injectables and or other high level skill performance.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- BLS certified through American Heart Association
- Complete the module specific program(s) for MAII e.g. Immunizations-primary;
Immunizations-OB/GYN;
Wound Care, etc - Those hired into this position must complete the review/skill validation program within 90 days of hire
- 5+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Basic Medical & Nursing terminology
- Demonstrated ability to use equipment and related supplies for selected patient population. Computer experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Ambulatory Care experience
- EPIC experience
- Demonstrated Windows based computer skills
