Cardiac Sonographer Pediatrics
The Pediatric Echo technologist performs transthoracic echocardiogram studies, including 2D, M‑Mode, Doppler, color Doppler, bubble, stress, and other cardiology procedures, as well as transesophageal studies on pediatric and adolescent populations. They maintain echo lab protocols and accreditation standards, and operate equipment safely. Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and they communicate effectively with other department members.
Whatyou will do in this role
- Independently performs all types of pediatric and adolescent echocardiograms
- Assures proper patient assessment to ensure most optimal study
- Demonstrates proficiency when operating all equipment
- Records and prepares studies for physician review/enters charges correctly
- Participates in departmental performance improvement program
- Fulfill on‑call responsibility
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Vocational school graduate
- (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer, or (RVS) Registered Vascular Specialist
