Physician Assistant

Overview

Synergy Radiology Associates is a large sub‑specialized radiology practice located in Houston, TX. The practice seeks a Physician Assistant to support interventional radiology services across multiple facilities.

• Perform procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, venous access, biopsies, and lumbar punctures.
• Assist in direct patient care services, including inpatient and outpatient consults and follow‑up.
• Assist in the outpatient Interventional Radiology clinic and other duties necessary to support the clinic.
• Perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries.
• Assist in facilitating patients for procedures, including pre‑authorizations, coordinating with facilities, processing orders, and sending reports back to referring physicians.
• Perform or assist in fluoroscopic studies.
• Order and interpret laboratory and radiographic studies.
• Develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes.
• Perform history and physical examinations and obtain consents of radiology patients.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with referring physicians, nurses, and other health‑care professionals regarding patient care.
• Provide onsite clinical coverage during assigned weekend shifts, including direct patient care, procedural support, and coordination with clinical teams.
• Educate patients regarding their procedures and care.

• Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas.
• Graduate of an accredited program.
• At least one year of Physician Assistant experience (preferred but not required).
• Certification by the National Commission on Physician Assistants.
• Certified to perform Basic Life Support and ACLS.

Monday through Sunday, 7 days on followed by 7 days off.

The salary range for this position is $120,000–$140,000. Final determinations may vary based on education, work experience, certifications, geographic location, and other factors. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
