SynapseTBI provides specialized diagnostic and treatment services for patients with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI), and Post-Concussion Syndrome. Our multidisciplinary team delivers advanced neurological care, innovative therapies, and coordinated treatment plans designed to support patients throughout their recovery journey.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in Houston, Texas. This position will play a key role in evaluating and treating patients with traumatic brain injuries, concussion-related symptoms, vestibular dysfunction, balance impairments, and musculoskeletal conditions. The ideal candidate is passionate about neurological rehabilitation, committed to delivering exceptional patient care, and thrives in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver hands‑on therapy and rehabilitation services
  • Treat patients experiencing TBI, concussion, vestibular dysfunction, balance impairments, and musculoskeletal conditions
  • Develop and implement customized exercise and rehabilitation programs
  • Collaborate with neurologists, nurse practitioners, speech therapists, and other clinical staff to coordinate patient care
  • Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and timely
  • Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and recovery expectations
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
  • Maintain compliance with all clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
  • Active Texas Physical Therapist (PT) license or ability to obtain***
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
  • Experience with neurological rehabilitation, vestibular therapy, concussion management, or balance rehabilitation is preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
