PRN Program Therapist (LMSW/LCSW/LPC)

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire offers multiple inpatient and outpatient programs designed to meet the needs of every patient, no matter the issue. • Interview patients and develop the psychological history.
• Assess the therapeutic needs of the patient and family.
• Provide counseling sessions for families, individuals, and groups.
• Develop appropriate treatment objectives.
• Prepare monthly treatment summaries.
• Act as the patients' and families' primary contact during the patient's stay at the facility.
• Serve as patient advocate with the treatment team.
• Coordinate with outside agencies and individuals to develop and coordinate discharge planning with the treatment team and the patient’s family.

Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.

License: Must possess licensure in the State of Texas as a LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or LPC‑A.

Certifications: Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.
