Supervises the operation and performance of the Histology, Cytology, and Transcription sections of the Laboratory (including Morgue and Frozen Section room); supervises the technical, operational and personnel activities in the Anatomic Pathology Laboratory. Performs bench duties as needed.

• Degree:
  Bachelors in Medical Technology, Histotechnology, or a related field including Biology or Chemistry
• Licensure & Certification: ASCP - Histotechnologist (HTL) or Histotechnician or Cytotechnologist
• Work Experience:
  
  Five (5) years work experience as a Histotechnician or Histotechnologist or a Cytotechnologist
• Supervisory
  
  Experience:
  
  Two (2) years supervisory experience in scheduling, performance management, variance reporting, procedure development and problem resolution
• Communication
  
  Skills:
  
  Above average verbal communication (heavy public contact), exceptional verbal public speaking, writing/correspondence, writing/reports
• Proficiencies: MS Excel, MS Word, personal computer

• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  Analytical abilities, medical terminology
