Transportation Coordinator

Responsibilities

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking a Transportation/Patient Care Coordinator to provide transportation for patients to and from the facility for pre‑scheduled appointments and help organize and direct patients’ daily activities.

• Provide transportation for patients to and from the facility.
• Report all van maintenance problems to the Department Director.
• Maintain the van log, ensuring accuracy of information.
• Maintain a clean environment for patients at all times.
• Demonstrate responsibility and sound judgment regarding patient safety.
• Communicate and consult with the Department Director and other staff members regarding patient care issues and information daily.

• Education:
  
  High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience:
  
  One (1) year of transportation services experience preferred. Priority given to applicants with experience transporting patients.
• Licensure:
  Must maintain a valid as required for transportation of patients.
• Certifications:
  
  Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.
