East Houston Medical Center is seeking an exceptional Radiologic Technologist with strongexpertise in CT imaging, X-ray, and advanced cardiac CT procedures. Position Overview
The Radiologic Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures with aprimary emphasis on CT and X-ray services. This position includesresponsibility for assisting with advanced cardiac imaging studies, includingcalcium scoring and coronary CT examinations, while maintaining strict imagingprotocols, patient safety standards, and physician support throughout theimaging process.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT Scan andX-ray procedures in accordance with physician orders, departmentalprotocols, and patient safety standards.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process clearly, confirming clinical history,and ensuring comfort throughout the exam.
- Operate CT and radiographicequipment with accuracy, efficiency, and excellent attention to detail.
- Support advanced cardiac CTimaging, including coronary calcium scoring and coronary CT studies, withcareful adherence to protocol and image quality expectations.
- Review images for diagnosticquality and communicate promptly with radiologists and providers regardingstudy completion or concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation, imaging records, and procedural information in the appropriate systems.
- Observe radiation safety practices and infection prevention standards at all times.
- Assist in maintaining imagingequipment, supply readiness, and an organized clinical environment.
- Deliver a professional,courteous, and reassuring experience for every patient and familyencounter.

RequirementsQualifications
- Graduate of an accredited
Radiologic Technology program. - Current certification inradiologic technology as required for practice, with state licensurerequirements applicable in Texas.
- CT experience required; advancedexperience in cardiac CT, coronary calcium scoring, or coronary CT studiesstrongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge ofcross-sectional anatomy, radiographic positioning, and imaging protocols.
- Ability to work effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Excellent communication,professionalism, and patient care skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workflow in a high-performance imaging setting.
Preferred Background
- Experience performing coronaryartery calcium scoring exams.
- Experience assisting withcoronary CT angiography or related cardiac CT studies.
- Confidence working in afast-paced outpatient or hospital-based imaging department.
- Commitment to image excellence,patient-centered service, and continuous quality improvement.
