Responsibilities
- Provide high quality medical nutrition therapy to patients and clients
- Assess nutritional needs, provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition education
- Collaborate on a multi-disciplinary team as a resource to physician staff and others
- Participate in community service by providing nutrition education to groups or individuals
- Provide virtual nutrition counseling sessions to pediatric patients at the Wellness Clinic
- Bachelor's Degree in Food & Nutrition or related area
- Master's required if registration was obtained after Jan 1, 2024
- Must be registered with the ADA Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Licensed with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
- CPR Certification (Heart Saver only) from either American Red Cross or American Heart Association or obtained within six (6) months of hire
- Completion of a qualified professional experience required for the registered dietitian exam administered by the ADA Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Must have the ability to interact positively with many types of people
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
