Job Title:Clinical Therapist – IOP
Reports To: Senior Director of IOP
Status:Full Time – Exempt
Hours:Flexible hybrid schedule available:
Day (Mon–Fri, 8a.–5p.) or evening (1p - 9p); with one Saturday per month.
Location: Montrose Campus;
Spring Branch Campus;
Community Locations
Works Closely With: Residential Team and Outpatient Services Team.
Position Summary:This position is responsible for providing direct services to clients who have a substance use disorder diagnosis, a co-occurring disorder, or other mental health diagnosis.
Services include individual and group counseling, family counseling, couple counseling and psycho educational groups, sober community building activities.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide Individual therapy to clients participating in the Passages Intensive Outpatient Program.Facilitate or co-facilitate various group for adultsProvide family and couples counseling as neededFacilitate/supervise client study of recovery-oriented materials and offer support/guidanceConduct full clinical assessments on each clientDevelop treatment and discharge plans with clientsProvide crisis counseling, suicide assessments and support as needed to clientsDocument and file all notes in timely manner that meets all compliance regulations.Act as advocate and liaison w/other service providers and staff members when appropriateProvide services aimed at relapse preventionProvide psycho-educational groups/ programsParticipate in treatment and discharge planning for clientsParticipate in IOP Team meetingsParticipate in Full Treatment Team meetingsParticipate in case staffingsParticipate in sober social events with agencyOther Responsibilities
Participate in clinical staff meetings, Whole Life® collaborative team meetings, and supervisionParticipate in all-staff and other meetings designated by The Women’s HomeAssist in marketing of Intensive Outpatient Program Services.Assist in the recruitment and selection of on-site counseling and supportive services that will complement existing services and fill a community need.Attend and assist with planning, organizing, and facilitating events and activities at the both campuses.Other duties as assignedQualifications
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other related fieldLPC-A, LMSW, LCSW, QCC2-4 years of experience working in the field of mental healthLCDC preferredPractice from a client centered, trauma informed perspectiveChemical Dependency treatment experience preferredKnowledge and experience with various chemical dependency models (i.e. 12 step, CBT, Motivational Interviewing)Working with co-occurring experience strongly preferredBasic knowledge of how to access community resourcesAbility to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary teamExperience working with community collaborations preferredValid Texas Driver’s LicensePhysical Requirements:Person in this position must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop and use desktop technology for long periods of time.
