As a Senior Certified Medical Assistant, you are at the heart of our mission to provide outstanding healthcare. You will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive care that is safe, efficient, and effective while supporting our medical team and fostering an environment of learning and growth.

- Train new and existing medical assistant team members to ensure competencies.
- Promote shared vision and goals through effective working relationships.
- Perform routine chart audits to validate documentation and practices.
- Complete Regional Nurse Manager (RNM) training and attend assigned meetings.
- Perform Medical Assistant tasks two shifts every pay period.
- Promote effective teamwork and collaboration.
- Participate in monthly inventory reconciliation of supplies, medications, and vaccines.
- Maintain work area and equipment according to Legacy and government standards.
- Ensure safety in the patient’s environment and equipment.
- Report safety concerns promptly to appropriate personnel.
- Follow exposure control plans and protective barrier equipment procedures.
- Adhere to quality control policies and document activities and maintenance.
- Assist in the assessment, planning, and implementation of clinical training programs.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to preceptors and team members.
- Assist in implementing education and workflow changes for the medical assistant team.
- Identify, collect, and report clinical safety, quality, and training deficiencies.
- Collaborate regularly with management to report findings.
- May serve as the Vaccines for Children program coordinator.
- Work within a primary care medical home using a team-based approach.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Registered or Certified as a Medical Assistant required from an accredited school.
- Minimum of two years clinical experience required.
- Minimum of one year experience as LCH Medical Assistant preferred.
- Prior experience as medical assistant or similar capacity such as patient care technician or certified nursing assistant, preferred.
- Basic front desk, clerical, or support specialist skills/experience helpful.
- Ability to work with clinical staff, multitask within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to the concepts of preventive health care programs and team approach to health care delivery.
- Phlebotomy skills preferred.
- Experience working with computers.
- Experience working in electronic medical records.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize.
- Demonstrates proficiency in all medical assistant duties and responsibilities.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
