Research Coordinator I

We are hiring a Research Coordinator I (Full-time) to join the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health in Houston. In this role, you will coordinate project activities to be implemented in 22-24 participating Houston Independent School District middle schools annually, including: serving as liaison to schools and healthcare provider partners to ensure that all activities related to vaccination clinics and parent education run according to plan;

providing regular and clear communication with providers, district partners, and school contacts to coordinate scheduling of school-based vaccination clinics; preparing for and participating in implementation of mobile vaccination clinic activities (including data collection) and supporting colleagues with clinic implementation in other districts; and conducting parent education about adolescent vaccination. An ideal candidate should have prior experience with health promotion/education, community-based, and/or school-based public health research or implementation programs.

Bilingual and fluent in English/Spanish, highly preferred. Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation, position requires regular travel to multiple sites each week (mileage reimbursement is provided). Flexible schedule preferred with availability for early morning or evening clinics, preferred.

Position Summary:

All for Them is a multilevel, multicomponent program at the Center for Health Promotion and Prevention Research, School of Public Health. The project aims to increase Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination among youth in multiple medically underserved areas across Texas. Project activities include delivery of a bilingual social marketing/education campaign, school-based vaccination clinics at public middle and high schools, and school nurse education to improve communication with parents about HPV vaccination.

Under the general direction of senior research staff, the Research Coordinator I will conduct activities to support the All for Them vaccination project at the Center for Health Promotion and Prevention Research, School of Public Health. This position is funded until 2028 and is located in Houston, TX.

  • Serve as liaison to Houston Independent School District (HISD) and healthcare provider partners Texas Children's Mobile Clinic Program and CHRISTUS Healthy Living Mobile Clinics to ensure that all activities related to vaccination clinics run according to plan.
