Digestive & Liver Disease Consultants, P.A. (DLDC)

is seeking an experienced Business Office & Revenue Cycle Manager to oversee the administrative, operational, human resources, and revenue cycle functions of our growing Gastroenterology practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive healthcare management experience, and a proven background in physician practice operations and revenue cycle management.

Position Summary

The Business Office & Revenue Cycle Manager will be responsible for managing the daily business office operations while overseeing all aspects of the revenue cycle. This individual will work closely with physicians, executive leadership, billing teams, and staff to ensure operational efficiency, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and exceptional patient service.

Key Responsibilities Business Office Operations
  • Oversee the daily operations of the medical business office and administrative departments.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate business office and administrative staff.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding, offboarding, payroll, personnel records, and HR-related functions.
  • Manage employee relations, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, FMLA, leave administration, and HR compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and improve office policies, workflows, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and company policies.
  • Partner with physicians and executive leadership to improve operational efficiency and practice performance.
  • Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for leadership.
  • Support special projects and perform additional administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Revenue Cycle Management
  • Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle, including charge capture, claim submission, payment posting, accounts receivable, insurance follow-up, denial management, appeals, and collections.
  • Monitor AR aging reports and implement strategies to improve collections and reduce outstanding receivables.
  • Analyze reimbursement trends, payer performance, denials, and revenue leakage.
  • Ensure timely resolution of denied, underpaid, and aging claims.
  • Collaborate with providers, coders, billing staff, and external billing vendors to optimize reimbursement.
  • Review revenue cycle KPIs and prepare monthly financial and AR reports.
  • Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial insurance, and healthcare billing regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for workflow improvements and revenue cycle optimization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 8–10 years of experience in healthcare business office management, physician practice management, medical billing, or revenue cycle management.
  • Previous leadership experience managing business office operations and healthcare staff.
  • Strong knowledge of physician practice operations, medical billing, accounts receivable, insurance follow-up, denial management, appeals, and collections.
  • Experience in Gastroenterology is strongly preferred; experience with Endoscopy, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), and Anesthesia billing is a significant plus.
  • Experience with eClinical

    Works (eCW)
    Practice Management and EMR is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care billing.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reporting, and revenue cycle analytics.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
