Under general supervision, the Lead Abatement Information Coordinator conducts outreach and education on lead hazards to youth, service providers, community partners, and the public. Individuals in this role are responsible for coordinating participant recruitment, overseeing lead abatement application submittals, maintaining collaborative partner relationships, and performing other tasks to support program goals.
This role requires knowledge of program coordination and community engagement, along with strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to perform the essential functions of the position.
Duties & Responsibilities- Outreach and
Education:
Provides outreach and education at clients’ homes, health fairs, schools, day care centers, clinics, and other community sites in high-risk target areas. In addition, manages the calendar for education and outreach events, and submits requests for outreach supplies. - Client Support:
Serves as a liaison for potential clients, gathers documentation needed for program approval, assists with completing and submitting lead abatement applications, and may provide English/Spanish interpretation for clients and staff during home visits. - Reporting:
Works closely with Program Supervisors to manage data, perform evaluations, and generate program reports. - Program Support:
Assists in developing program materials, guidelines, and training, and helps develop and implement targeted population-based interventions.

Education- High School Diploma/GED.
- Knowledge of lead hazards, public health principles, and housing-related risk factors.
- Understanding of program coordination, community outreach, and participant recruitment strategies.
- Familiarity with policies and procedures for program documentation and application processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, planning, collaboration, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive client and program information.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and implement outreach and education activities.
