Baylor College of Medicine's Ambulatory Operations Team is seeking a BCM Temporary
- Medical Assistant to assist with administering flu vaccines this flu season.
The schedule will vary, but may be 2-3 days per week and approximately 10-20 hours per week.
The vaccine clinics will take place at multiple locations on campus and offsite.
This is a temporary position and is not eligible for benefits. The maximum assignment length is 3 months.
Job PurposePerforms patient care responsibilities and provides clerical/administrative support in a clinical setting.
Job Duties- Administers flu vaccines in a high-volume environment.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved Medical Assistant Training program through an accredited institution.
- No experience required.
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant through an accredited professional organization (AAMA, AMT, ARMA, NCCT, NHA, NAHP, AMCA,,AAH AAMP, or NPS).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association.
- Comfortable administering vaccines.
