The organization serves clients across League City and surrounding South Houston communities, including Clear Lake, Friendswood, Pearland, Galveston, and more. Care is personalized and non-medical, focusing on physical assistance, emotional support, and meaningful companionship to promote dignity and quality of life. Services range from a few hours of weekly help to live-in and 24-hour care, including specialized support for dementia, chronic conditions, and recovery after hospitalization.

Role Description The Caregiver role is a full-time, on-site position based in Houston, TX, serving clients in their homes throughout the South Houston area. Caregivers provide personal care such as assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and medication reminders, while promoting safety and fall prevention. Day-to-day responsibilities also include companion care: engaging clients in conversation, planning and preparing meals, supporting cognitive activities, and providing transportation to appointments and community outings.
Caregivers help with light housekeeping, laundry, errands, and daily living tasks to support clients’ independence and comfort. The role may also involve specialized non-medical support for individuals living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, chronic conditions, or recovering from illness or surgery, while maintaining clear communication with families and the care team.
Qualifications
- Experience providing personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and safety monitoring.
- Skills in companion care, such as offering emotional support, engaging in meaningful conversation and activities, meal planning and preparation, and accompanying clients to appointments or outings.
- Ability to perform light housekeeping, laundry, and household organization, as well as manage errands and basic transportation needs in a safe and reliable manner.
- Comfort working with individuals living with dementia, Alzheimer’s, chronic conditions, or recovering from surgery or illness, and following tailored care plans.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with a compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to clients and families.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in clients’ homes, with good time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Previous caregiving, home care, CNA, or related experience preferred; relevant training or certification in caregiving or senior care is beneficial.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the role, including safe client transfers and occasional lifting, and to pass criminal and Texas licensure background and drug test.
