Aboutthe Role
Psych Plus is seeking an experienced Director of Interventional Psychiatry Services to lead and expand our TMS and Spravato programs. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the clinical, operational, and strategic direction of Psych Plus's interventional psychiatry services. The Director will oversee program development, clinical standards, staff performance, patient experience, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency while partnering closely with psychiatry, operations, and executive leadership.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in TMS, Spravato/esketamine, interventional psychiatry, or behavioral health program leadership and is passionate about building innovative, evidence-based treatment programs.
Key Responsibilities Clinical & Program Leadership- Provide clinical and strategic leadership for Psych Plus's TMS and Spravato programs.
- Establish and maintain clinical protocols, treatment standards, and best practices.
- Ensure safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered delivery of interventional psychiatric services.
- Partner with psychiatrists, PMHNPs, nursing staff, and clinical teams on patient selection, treatment planning, monitoring, and clinical escalations.
- Monitor patient outcomes, treatment response, safety metrics, and quality indicators.
- Support the development and implementation of new interventional psychiatry services as the organization grows.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of TMS and Spravato services at the Houston site(s).
- Optimize patient flow, scheduling, treatment capacity, utilization, and staff productivity.
- Ensure TMS equipment is maintained, calibrated, and operationally ready.
- Oversee Spravato medication coordination, storage, administration workflows, and required monitoring processes.
- Develop and monitor KPIs related to patient volume, treatment completion, outcomes, quality, and operational performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, patient access, and overall program performance.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop clinical and operational staff supporting TMS and Spravato services.
- Establish clear performance expectations and accountability standards.
- Provide ongoing education and training related to TMS, Spravato, safety procedures, and clinical protocols.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing clinical culture.
- Work closely with leadership to identify staffing and resource requirements as the program expands.
- Ensure adherence to applicable federal and state regulations, clinical guidelines, and organizational policies.
- Maintain appropriate documentation, treatment records, safety protocols, and quality assurance processes.
- Support compliance with Spravato REMS requirements and other applicable regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular reviews of clinical and operational processes and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Promote a culture of patient safety, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with executive and operational leadership to develop and execute the growth strategy for Psych Plus's interventional psychiatry services.
- Identify opportunities to expand TMS and Spravato access across additional Psych Plus locations.
- Evaluate emerging interventional psychiatry technologies, treatment models, and best practices.
- Support referral development and collaboration with Psych Plus's broader psychiatry and behavioral health network.
- Help establish Psych Plus as a leading provider of accessible, innovative interventional mental health services.
- Significant experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, TMS, Spravato/esketamine, or interventional psychiatry.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical, operational, or program-management setting.
- Strong understanding of TMS treatment protocols and Spravato/esketamine workflows.
- Experience supervising or leading multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Strong understanding of healthcare compliance, patient safety, documentation, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Houston, TX.
- Experience developing or scaling a TMS/Spravato or interventional psychiatry program.
- Experience with Spravato REMS requirements and operational compliance.
- Experience managing clinical KPIs, patient outcomes, and program performance.
- Experience in an outpatient behavioral health or psychiatric organization.
