Job Title:
Experienced Phlebotomist – Clinical Research

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, patient-focused Phlebotomist to join our growing clinical research team. The ideal candidate has exceptional venipuncture skills, thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, and is committed to providing outstanding patient care while supporting the successful execution of clinical trials.

Previous clinical research experience is highly preferred; however, experienced phlebotomists with strong laboratory and patient care backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

  • Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures according to study protocols and laboratory requirements.
  • Process, label, centrifuge, package, and ship biological specimens while maintaining specimen integrity.
  • Accurately document specimen collection and research activities in source documents and electronic systems.
  • Ensure compliance with study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), IATA, HIPAA, and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Prepare examination and laboratory areas for participant visits.
  • Monitor and maintain laboratory supplies and inventory.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and regulatory-compliant work environment.
  • Collaborate with investigators, clinical research coordinators, laboratory personnel, and sponsors to ensure efficient study execution.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while ensuring participant comfort and safety throughout the visit.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional phlebotomy experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with routine and difficult venipuncture.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.

Preferred

  • Previous experience working in a clinical research setting.
  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA regulations, and ICH guidelines.
  • Experience processing and shipping laboratory specimens for clinical trials.
