Job SummaryThe MFM Sonographer Educator II is a sonographer who plays a vital role in maternal-fetal medicine by performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures. This position requires an intermediate knowledge base, technical skills, and understanding of maternal-fetal medicine ultrasound. Operating under physician supervision, the MFM Sonographer Educator II provides essential clinical information for patient diagnosis and treatment, while also ensuring the highest standards of care.
In addition to direct patient care, this role is responsible for mentoring, training, and guiding ultrasound learners by developing and implementing best practices. The MFM Sonographer Educator II actively contributes to quality improvement and patient experience initiatives.
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure:
- a. Associates Degree (graduate of an accredited medical sonography program)
- b. Basic Life Support from approved American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Program
- c. American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography RDMS in OBGYN specialty
- d. Cervical length certification (Preferred)
Work Experience:
- Two (2) Years of Experience in MFM ultrasound scanning.
