Physician Assistant

CVS Health is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Physician Assistant to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications as allowed, and collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and pharmacists to optimize outcomes. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused patient histories and physical examinations for a diverse patient population.
• Order, interpret, and act on appropriate diagnostic tests, including laboratory studies and imaging, in accordance with evidence-based guidelines and collaborative practice agreements.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions, adjusting care as needed based on patient response and clinical findings.
• Prescribe medications and other therapies within the scope of practice and state regulations, ensuring safe, appropriate, and cost-effective use.
• Provide preventive care, health maintenance, and wellness counseling, including immunizations, screenings, and lifestyle modification support.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support seamless transitions across healthcare settings.
• Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic medical record, adhering to organizational, regulatory, and payer requirements.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and self-management strategies to improve adherence and health outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical protocols, and performance metrics aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Adhere to all clinical, ethical, infection control, and safety standards, maintaining compliance with HIPAA and all applicable federal, state, and organizational policies.
