Position Summary:
The Senior Research Associate provides project management for research projects of considerable scope and complexity. Decisions impact the success of the research project(s).
Position
Key Accountabilities:
- Collects, evaluates, interprets, and documents research data to accomplish the objectives of a wide variety of scientific experiments using sophisticated equipment and applying complex techniques, methods, and procedures.
- Provides project management for a wide variety of research experiments in support of research project desired outcomes, budgets, and timelines.
- Maintains quality control checks and a safe environment in compliance with all governmental and University policies, rules, regulations, and codes.
- Evaluates and interprets data and provides results to investigators to support publication.
- Provides direction and training to lab staff to ensure efficient, timely and high quality results in compliance with all protocols, guidelines, regulations, etc.
- Assist in the preparation and writing of research reports, manuscripts, papers and grant proposals for presentation and publication.
- May oversee study inclusion, the development and tracking the progress of participants and cases.
- Influences project direction and outcomes by identifying opportunities to enhance, re-terminate, or re-direct research activities. May monitor and revise, as necessary, the project timeline, budget, expenditures, and supplies.
- Prepares communications of research results for the public and/or funding organizations.
- May mentor fellows, graduate students and others as appropriate in support of the University's mission.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree in a related field required. Master's Degree preferred
Minimum Experience:
4 years of related research experience required May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
