Sterile Processing Technician III

The Sterile Processing Technician III is a certified technician whose areas of responsibilities cover decontamination, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment according to established standards/guidelines. The SP Tech III demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness when working in an indirect patient care department and addressing the request of the customer or provider.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED AND Central Service Technology Course/Or Equivalent
• Work Experience:
  
  (at least one year experience in central sterile processing)
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  
  One of the following: CRCST, CSPDT, or CRMST AND One of the following: CIS or CER
• Work Experience:
  
  a) Three (3) years' experience with Central Sterile Processing

Communication

Skills:

• a) Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact)
• b) Writing/Reports: Legible handwriting and coherent writing

Proficiencies:

• a) PC:
  Skills must be appropriate to meet the job requirements
