As a Communication Representative I, you'll serve as the first point of contact for patients, helping them access care while delivering exceptional customer service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently
- Verify and enter patient demographic and insurance information
- Educate patients on appointment requirements and office policies
- Direct calls to appropriate departments and team members
- Manage appointment reminders, cancellations, and rescheduling efforts
- Support patient outreach initiatives and productivity campaigns
- Address patient questions and concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Escalate urgent matters appropriately to clinical or leadership staff
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience with every interaction
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or GED
- Clerical, customer service, or front office experience in a medical or dental setting
- Excellent communication and telephone etiquette skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally
- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to customer service
Preferred:
- Experience in healthcare scheduling or call center operations
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
