Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our clinical laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating chemistry analyzers such as the Ortho Vitros 5600 or equivalent high-throughput analyzers. This role is responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory testing with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform clinical chemistry testing using automated platforms (e.g., Vitros 5600 or equivalent systems)
- Ensure proper calibration, quality control, and maintenance of laboratory instruments
- Analyze, verify, and report patient test results in accordance with established protocols
- Troubleshoot analyzer issues and perform corrective actions as needed
- Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory standards
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and infection control standards
- Accurately document all procedures, maintenance logs, and quality metrics
- Collaborate with laboratory staff and leadership to optimize workflow and turnaround times
- Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related science field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, or Associate of Science)
- Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a clinical chemistry setting
- Experience operating automated analyzers (Vitros 5600 or equivalent platforms)
- Strong understanding of laboratory quality control and assurance practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field
- Certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent)
- Direct experience with Ortho Clinical Diagnostics Vitros systems
- Experience in high-volume laboratory environments
Clinical laboratory setting; rotating schedule (6 days on, 7 days off). Weekends and holidays.
CompensationSalary: $23 - $23 per hour
