Description:

The School Psychologist provides psychological, behavioral, and educational assessment services that support student achievement and special education programming.

The psychologist works collaboratively with educators, families, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to evaluate student needs.

They develop interventions and support compliance with special education regulations.

The role promotes positive student outcomes across academic, social-emotional, and behavioral domains.

They conduct Full and Individual Evaluations (FIEs) and re-evaluations for students referred to special education services.

Assessments include cognitive, academic, behavioral, emotional, adaptive, and social functioning.

The psychologist conducts classroom observations and gathers data from teachers, parents, and support staff.

They prepare comprehensive assessment reports and eligibility recommendations.

Evaluations are completed within state and district timelines.

Participation in relevant committee meetings is required.
