The Head Optician at Today's Vision will oversee daily optical operations in an on-site, full-time role based in Houston, TX. Responsibilities include guiding patients through frame and lens selection, ensuring accurate measurements, and coordinating with optometrists to support prescriptions and eye exam outcomes. The Head Optician will supervise optical staff, maintain inventory, and ensure that all eyewear meets quality and safety standards.

This role also involves delivering attentive customer service, resolving patient concerns, and promoting products and services that enhance visual performance and satisfaction. The Head Optician will uphold practice policies, support training and development of team members, and contribute to an efficient, patient-focused optical environment.

• Strong knowledge of optics and optical products, including lenses, frames, coatings, and adjustments.
• Experience in optometry settings and familiarity with eye exams, prescriptions, and clinical workflows.
• Proven ability to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional customer service.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in an optical or healthcare environment.
• Relevant licensure or certification as an optician (state requirements preferred or as applicable).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Houston, TX, with a full-time schedule.
• Attention to detail and proficiency in using optical tools, measurement devices, and practice management systems.
