Supervise blood collection staff, including training and performance
Drive for results and to serve others witha high levelof respect for customer service
Take the time to personally connect with donors - listen to their stories and help them understand the value of their donation

Standard

Schedule:

To best meet the needs of our donors and community,staffworkavariable schedule which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends,and holidays.

Overnight travel may berequiredin some locations.
Schedule is provided two to three weeks in advance

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED(Minimum Qualifications):

Bachelor's degree OR a combination of education and work experience (four to eight years of work experience in a related field) is required
Minimumofthreeyears of supervisory/leadership experience
Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.

An abilityto effectively discuss procedures and medical issues with patients, families and physicians needed.
A current, valid driver's license witha gooddrivingrecord is required.
Physical requirements may include the ability to lift,pushor pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, the ability to sit or stand forlong periodsof time and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changesarerequired.

Position may requirea minimum height of 60 inches to ensure the ability to safely operate

Red Cross vehicles.
At the American Red Cross, we conduct many mobile blood drives at businesses,schools and many other locations. All staff work as a team to setup and tear down the equipmentrequiredto conduct a mobile blood drive.
Basic computer skills are desirable

Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience(CNA, MA, EMT,etc.)
Prior leadership experienceexceeding3years inahealthcare setting
