The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Coding & Billing Instructor / Externship Coordinator to support and mentor students as they prepare for rewarding careers in healthcare.
This is an excellent opportunity for industry professionals looking to transition into education — no prior teaching experience is required.
What You’ll Do- Deliver engaging curriculum content to Medical Coding & Billing students
- Mentor and support students throughout their educational journey
- Foster a positive and professional learning environment
- Prepare students for success in the healthcare field
- Coordinate and support externship opportunities for students
- Collaborate with campus leadership and staff to ensure student success
One of the following certifications is required:
- CBCS – Certified Billing and Coding Specialist
- CPC – Certified Professional Coder
- CCS – Certified Coding Specialist
- Minimum of 3 years of Medical Coding and Billing experience
- Teaching experience is not required — we provide support and training for instructors transitioning from the field
