Research Coordinator - Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences

Summary

The Research Coordinator I will support COMPASS-TX, a community-partnered research project focused on improving depression and anxiety treatment for medically underserved adults receiving care in community mental health settings. The project will adapt, evaluate, and disseminate a clinician training program in personalized transdiagnostic cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Working under the direction of the Principal Investigator, Dr. Erika Trent, the Research Coordinator I will coordinate the daily operations of this multi-site study and collaborate closely with investigators, research staff, clinicians, and community partners.

Occasional evening work may be required, with rare instances where the schedule extends beyond 5:30 PM to meet study or project needs.

• Coordinates the daily activities and implementation of a multi-site research study.
• Assists with the preparation, submission, maintenance, and renewal of Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols and related study documentation.
• Supports compliance with institutional policies, approved research protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintains study databases, regulatory files, participant records, and other research documentation.
• Supports participant identification, recruitment, enrollment, scheduling, and follow-up activities.
• Tracks study milestones, deliverables, participant progress, and data-collection activities.
• Coordinates meetings and communications among investigators, research staff, clinical sites, and community partners.
• Assists with implementing study procedures and clinician training activities across participating sites.
• Collects, enters, reviews, and maintains quantitative and qualitative research data.
• Assists with qualitative data management and coding, including organizing transcripts and applying established coding frameworks.
• Helps prepare study reports, presentations, meeting materials, and other project-related documents.
• Identifies operational issues and works with the study team to support timely resolution.
• Performs other research-related duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Three years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, public health, social sciences, behavioral health, or a related field. No experience required with preferred degree.
