Position SummaryThe
Clinical Applications Analyst II – Behavioral Health plays a critical role in supporting the technology and clinical workflows used throughout Nexus Health Systems’ behavioral health and neurobehavioral programs.
Under the general direction of the Clinical Applications Manager, this position applies electronic health record industry standards and clinical best practices to configure, maintain, test, and optimize MEDITECH clinical applications. The Analyst owns the build and configuration of assigned behavioral health modules, independently manages issues of moderate complexity, and serves as a key connection between clinical operations and information technology.
This position works closely with behavioral health clinicians, nursing teams, facility leaders, pharmacy and ancillary analysts, and corporate departments to ensure electronic workflows support safe, efficient, compliant, and patient-centered care. The ideal candidate combines healthcare technology experience with a strong understanding of behavioral health documentation, clinical operations, and end-user workflows.
Clinical Application Configuration and Support- Serve as the primary resource for enhancements, edits, modifications, configuration, and troubleshooting within assigned behavioral health clinical modules.
- Provide functional and help desk support for application-related questions and issues submitted by Nexus facilities.
- Independently manage assigned module build, configuration, testing, maintenance, and optimization activities.
- Investigate application issues, identify root causes, coordinate appropriate solutions, and drive issues through resolution.
- Maintain clinical dictionaries and other application content associated with assigned modules.
- Monitor assigned applications to confirm proper utilization, system performance, and workflow efficiency.
- Communicate findings to leadership and recommend actions to address identified risks, inefficiencies, or improvement opportunities.
- Participate in the departmental on-call rotation.
- Configure and maintain behavioral health clinical documentation that supports evidence-based practices and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain electronic documentation for psychiatric assessments, individualized treatment plans, group and individual therapy, observation levels, patient precautions, and other behavioral health services.
