Clinic Based Therapist - Job Overview

As a Therapist in our Behavioral Health department, you'll provide high-quality psychotherapy to clients with identified behavioral health needs. Your role is pivotal in ensuring our clients receive compassionate and effective care.

• Deliver impactful psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

• Screen new clients to identify presenting problems and address urgent issues.
• Administer psychosocial assessments with care and precision.
• Provide individual, couples, and family therapy to clients of all ages.
• Collaborate with clients, physicians, and other providers to develop client-centered interventions.
• Re-assess clients and update treatment plans as needed.
• Work a full-time flexible schedule, including evenings and some weekends.
• Meet with a clinical supervisor monthly to review client cases.
• Document all client encounters and activities within three working days.
• Perform billing activities following agency procedures.
• Participate in required meetings and training sessions.
• Advise patients on health and illness prevention, including family planning services.
• Stay informed about the latest therapeutic techniques and research.
• Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to team success.

• Must have a master's degree from an accredited college or university in the social or behavioral sciences
• Must have "full" Texas licensure (LCSW, LPC and/or LMFT) and be in good standing with their credentialing board
• Must maintain first aid / CPR certifications
• Must have a minimum of 2 years paid work experience providing psychotherapy
• A therapist who has a Ph.D. in his/her specialty will be honored the CME/CEU stipend amount equivalent to the doctorate level, per policy
• Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
