Med Care Pediatric
is seeking a passionate and dedicated
BCBA Intern
to join our Houston team. This position provides an opportunity to gain supervised fieldwork experience while developing clinical skills in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.

The BCBA Intern will work under the supervision of a BCBA to support the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of behavior-analytic services for pediatric clients with a variety of needs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree from an accredited program
    OR
    currently enrolled in an accredited master’s-level ABA program with anticipated completion within six months
  • RBT experience preferred
  • Strong interest in working with children and families
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Commitment to professional and ethical standards in ABA
Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts
  • Maintain client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Participate in behavior-analytic activities consistent with current BACB standards and supervised fieldwork requirements
  • Track fieldwork hours and supervision activities
  • Participate in required BCBA supervision
  • Accrue fieldwork hours in accordance with current BACB requirements

    Assist the supervising BCBA with staff training and parent/caregiver meetings
  • Assist with initial and ongoing assessments, treatment plans, and assessment reports
  • Research and apply current behavior-analytic literature and evidence-based practices
  • Implement behavior intervention plans to decrease challenging behaviors and increase appropriate behaviors
  • Assist with crisis management, which may include client physical aggression
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, professional development, and company events
  • Maintain effective communication and time-management skills
  • Pursue ongoing professional growth and continuing education
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising BCBA or outlined in the supervision contract/training plan
